Ideal for campers who are always on the go, the Kampa Traverse is a free-standing awning that allows you to drive away while still reserving your pitch on-site. It boasts a spacious living area and full-height windows with privacy blinds. The awning also comes with a fully waterproof clip-in groundsheet and a large protective canopy.

The connection tunnel is an ideal area for a portable toilet, offering privacy from the main living area and a door leading directly outside

The Kampa Traverse Low Poled Drive-Away Awning is a versatile and spacious awning designed for campervan touring, offering classic pole reliability with premium modern day features. Available in two connection heights—Low (180–210 cm) and Mid (230–265 cm)—it provides a secure fit for a wide range of vehicles while creating a comfortable living and social space on site.

The Traverse is made from 75D polyester fabric, which is lightweight, durable, and easy to handle when pitching or packing away. This fabric provides reliable protection from the elements while maintaining a compact pack size, making it ideal for regular touring use. A sewn-in groundsheet enhances comfort by keeping the interior clean, dry, and draught-free.

A fibreglass pole frame provides a strong yet flexible structure, performing reliably in varying weather conditions. The natural flexibility of fibreglass helps absorb wind movement, improving stability and reducing strain on the fabric for long-term durability.

Connecting the Traverse to your van is simple and versatile. It features dual Kador beading, allowing secure attachment to a Kader rail, while throw-over straps and pole-and-clamp options provide alternative fitting methods for vans without a rail. A webbing strap at the vehicle connection point helps tighten the fit, and the drive-away design allows you to detach the van while leaving the awning pitched.

Externally, the Traverse offers a large front canopy that provides excellent shelter from sun and rain and is spacious enough to accommodate chairs. The double-layer front door, including a full mesh panel, allows flexible airflow while keeping insects out. Large crystal-clear PVC windows flood the awning with natural light, complemented by toggle-up curtains for privacy. The connection tunnel includes two doors, and a drop-down, trip-free groundsheet ensures safe, easy access between the awning and van. Ventilation panels on the front door and above the tunnel help manage airflow and reduce condensation.

Inside, practical details enhance comfort and organisation. Lantern hanging points provide convenient lighting options, while Velcro tabs help organise accessories or cables. The awning is Sabre-Flex lighting ready, includes a cable entry point for electric hook-up, and features door toggles throughout to keep entrances neatly secured when open.
