It’s never too early to prepare for your first trip of the year in your Micro Camper. Here you will find the gear you need to bring, for a successful first camping holiday.

Going on your first Micro Camper holiday? Let’s talk about being prepared for an early season adventure in your Micro Camper it is important to be prepared for all types of weather at the early month of the year as the weather is rather changeable this checklist is to make sure you have everything you need for a successful camping trip.

Clothes

  • Warm hat and gloves
  • Sun Hat
  • Waterproof and Breathable Jacket and Trousers
  • Thick socks
  • Hiking Boots or other waterproof footwear
  • Warm base layers
  • Footwear that is easy to put on (Crocs)

Eating and Drinking Essentials

  • Camping stove with Spare Gas
  • Cookware
  • Gas Kettle
  • Utensils (Both for cooking and eating)
  • Reusable drinks bottle
  • Collapsible Water container
  • Washing up towel and Washing up liquid
  • Collapsible washing up Bowl
  • Small cutting board
  • Tea, Coffee and Hot chocolate (don’t forget sugar and single serving milk and some biscuits)
  • Food (Pack some pre-packaged snacks—like bars and trail mix—as well as tined meals and soap you can cook easily and can be stored in your Micro Camper for unexpected meals)

Personal Items

  • Toilet paper
  • Sunscreen (ready for the summer)
  • Lip balm with SPF
  • Bug spray and itch relief
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Wet wipes
  • First aid kit
  • Toiletry kit (with a toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, soap etc.)
  • Travel Towel
  • Prescription medications you need to take
  • Painkillers (like ibuprofen or Paracetamol)

Micro Camper Necessities

If you’ll be travelling to multiple spots, or plan to hike during the day, it’s important to have tools that’ll help guide you and ensure a safe trip. Here’s what to pack:

  • Mobile Phone
  • Chargers
  • Flashlights or headlamps (And extra batteries)
  • Lights for the dark nights you get in the early season
  • Sleeping Bag
  • Pillow
  • Blanket
  • Electric travel kettle
  • Hot Water bottle
  • Heater / Fan (My heater of choice is the Kampa Cuboid)

One of the best things about Micro camping is spending uninterrupted quality time with friends and family, Or quality alone time without the common high-tech distractions.:

  • A couple of good books
