The Kampa Traverse Air is a premium drive-away awning designed specifically for campervans and panel vans, offering quick pitching, excellent durability, and a highly practical layout. With a pitching time of around 10 minutes, it’s ideal for touring campers who want a reliable, comfortable living space that’s easy to set up and detach when heading out for the day. The Traverse Air is available in two sizes to suit different vans. The Low version fits connection heights of 180–210 cm, while the Mid version suits 230–265 cm, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit for both smaller and taller vehicles.

The Traverse Air is made from 150D polyester, a strong yet lightweight fabric that provides an excellent balance between durability and pack size. This material is designed to withstand regular use, resist tearing, and perform well in varying weather conditions. The fabric has a noticeably premium feel, helping the awning retain its shape while offering dependable protection from wind and rain, making it suitable for both short breaks and longer touring trips.

The Traverse features a three-beam inflatable air frame, allowing for fast and stress-free pitching without the need for traditional poles. The beams are reinforced with ripstop material for added strength and durability. Boston valves are used throughout the structure, enabling quick inflation and rapid deflation when it’s time to pack away. This inflatable system not only speeds up setup but also improves overall stability.

Attaching to your van is easy, with multiple connection options including dual beading (4mm and 6mm), a dual Kader strip, or alternative methods such as straps, clamp and pole, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of vehicles. A drive-away kit is recommended to make attaching and detaching quick and effortless.

Colour-coordinated peg points clearly show the correct pitching order, while webbing straps and guy lines on the tunnel provide secure tensioning when needed. Tunnel doors on each side allow flexible access, and the central tunnel door position means your van’s sliding door can be opened without disrupting the awning. Optional carpets and footprints are available to further enhance comfort and protection.

Inside, the Traverse Air is bright and practical thanks to crystal-clear PVC windows with soft-touch zip-up curtains for privacy. A sewn-in groundsheet keeps the interior dry, warm, and draught-free. Ventilation points positioned below the beams help maintain airflow and reduce condensation. The Traverse Air also includes flat entrance drop-down doors that can be fully removed, door toggles for neat storage, lantern hanging points on each beam, Velcro strips for Kampa Sabrelink LED lights or accessories, storage pockets below the windows, and cable entry points for electric hook-up.
